This detailed illustration depicts the crest badge of Clan Fraser, a potent symbol of identity for one of Scotland's most prominent noble families, specifically the Frasers of Lovat. The badge utilizes a traditional Scottish format, where the Chief’s crest is enclosed within a circular leather strap and buckle. This enclosing strap signifies that the bearer is a clansman, kinsman, or loyal follower of the Clan Chief.

At the top of the circular frame, an arched scroll bears the clan’s pious motto in Gothic script: “All my hope is in god.” This motto reflects the deep, historic faith of the Fraser lineage.

The central crest, positioned inside the circle, is a prime example of “canting arms” in heraldry—a visual pun on the family name. It depicts a strawberry plant (known in French as fraise) growing from a mound. The Fraser name is widely believed to derive from Anglo-Norman roots and the French word for strawberry, stemming from early associations with the fruit in their ancestral homeland. Consequently, this emblem represents ancient lineage, nobility (as the strawberry leaf is a symbol of high ducal rank), and fertility. Below the entire assembly, a second banner clearly identifies the wearers as "Clan Fraser," completing a symbol that represents enduring faith, ancient heritage, and unified loyalty.
