Long before the famous Jacobite risings, the massive "Comyn Tower" of Inverlochy Castle stood guard over the southern entrance to the Great Glen. Built in the 1270s by the powerful Clan Comyn, Inverlochy is an incredible architectural rarity in Scotland: a true 13th-century fortress that has remained almost entirely unaltered by later generations. With its striking quadrangular design and heavy round corner towers—the largest of which served as the formidable keep—these ancient walls have silently witnessed two major historical battles and centuries of Highland history.

This meticulously restored and digitally enhanced poster brings the ruins of Inverlochy Castle to life with a classic, antiquarian aesthetic. Rendered in a precise, hand-drawn isometric perspective, the artwork features delicate, uniform pen-and-ink detailing that defines every stone course and architectural feature. Soft, transparent watercolor washes in natural buff-tans, sage, and moss greens complete the piece, giving it the warm, heritage feel of an authentic 19th-century architectural plate.
